Service scope and version
lingoi provides Japanese practice through active recall, speech assessment, scenarios and progress records. Features depend on the available version. Text examples on this website explain the product; they are not live AI assessments.
This unpublished draft, dated 22 September 2026, is not in effect. The legal operator, support email, initial service regions and age eligibility remain to be confirmed. An effective date will be published after these details are confirmed.
TestFlight and learning feedback
The beta validates features and experience and may involve interruptions, errors or changes. Actual invitations determine testing arrangements and feedback channels. Teacher content review and sampling of AI feedback will take place during TestFlight. Entering beta does not mean public-release quality acceptance has been passed.
AI recognition, scoring and corrections may be inaccurate. Feedback supports practice, does not replace a teacher's advice and does not guarantee JLPT results, certification or learning outcomes. If you disagree with feedback, use available in-app appeal or correction features.
Accounts and reasonable use
Keep your account and devices secure and only use content you are entitled to use. Do not infringe others' rights, upload unlawful content, attempt to access other accounts, disrupt the service or bypass reasonable access and usage limits.
Necessary restrictions may be applied in response to security incidents or conduct affecting other users. At launch, a support channel should allow users to explain their circumstances and request a review.
Subscriptions, restoration and cancellation
If subscriptions are available in a version, actual products, local prices, billing periods and entitlements are those shown in the app and on the App Store purchase confirmation screen. This website does not collect payments or promise prices for unreleased products.
Apple manages auto-renewal. View or cancel future renewals in your Apple account's subscription settings. Uninstalling the app or deleting your lingoi account does not cancel a subscription. Refund requests are handled through Apple's channels, subject to applicable rules.
Restoring a purchase requires a verifiable Apple transaction and the corresponding lingoi account. Purchases are bound to the account that initiated them and do not automatically transfer to another lingoi account. Network or verification failures may temporarily prevent entitlement confirmation.

Content and privacy
Using the service does not transfer ownership of your submitted practice content. The service processes it only to the extent needed to provide practice, feedback and the stated purposes. Optional teaching-quality improvement and teacher sampling uses are controlled by separate settings.
Do not copy, sell or distribute protected courses, audio, software or other people's content without permission. See the Privacy Policy for data categories, retention, export and deletion.
Service changes and user rights
Maintenance, provider outages or version changes may temporarily make the service unavailable. Significant changes to subscription entitlements or data handling should be explained. Updating terms does not replace necessary consent.
These terms do not exclude statutory consumer rights or limit liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Dispute handling, operator contact details and applicable regions will be completed in the release text; this draft does not arbitrarily select a jurisdiction.
